Hunting Land for Lease Details: This ranch has both whitetails and mule deer calling it home. A great flock of Merriam’s turkeys also call this ranch home. The landowner says the flock has been growing each year and is now approaching 200 birds! This is also great predator calling country. In years past I have trapped Bobcats in this area with great success. This lease contains some of the roughest country for miles around, and the infamous Castle Rock Butte sits inside the NW corner of this ranch. You will know your headed in the right direction because the Butte can be spotted from over 30 miles away! All of the hunters driving by this ranch drool as they are heading to their hunting spots because they know this type of country is where the deer are. Rough country is what the deer like, and there is close to 600 feet in elevation change on this ranch.

The east side of this property contains a huge alfalfa/hay field that the deer use as their main food source. The north and west sides of this lease are very rough and contain numerous wooded draws. The south side of the property is semi rough prairie pasture. This is a good area where you might find a nice Antelope buck to put your tag on.

While inspecting this ranch I spotted strutting toms all over the place. I also spotted both mule deer and whitetails in almost every draw. The landowner said that when deer start to get pressured on neighboring ranches they head to his because of the terrain. The landowner also said that this ranch has hardly even been hunted in more than 5 years!

Camping with water and electricity is available on the ranch. Driving is limited to the main 4 or 5 roads on the ranch with the exception of game retrieval. The blue area on the map is off limits to rifle hunting due to a building site. The landowner will show you Property lines and roads when you come out the first time.
