This hunting lease is leased and not available. This 40-acre plot is the perfect spot for a hunting camp in southern Grand Traverse County a few miles north of Mesick. It is near the agricultural are yet still completely wooded and secluded. A good dirt road takes you back to a gated two track road leading into the lease. A camp area has already been set up complete with an outhouse just off the road where you can stay without disturbing the deer.

The middle of the lease is covered in mature red pine with well placed previous food plot site which can be restarted. It is the open square seen in the aerial photo. There are a couple of areas with mixed hardwoods along the edge and a 10 block of maple on the corner. Nice old quad trials cut through the tick timber along the edge.

During inspection, I kicked up a couple of deer and several grouse. There were a lot of deer trails crossing the property. Don't just drive by this property. Get out and walk it. There is more here than just pines. Check out the pines next to the hardwoods for some great stand locations.

Reasonable ATV use is allowed while hunting or hanging stands.
