This hunting lease is leased and not available. Base Camp Leasing has 206 acres of prime whitetail, turkey and bear habitat available in Montgomery County, New York. This property consists of approximately 50 acres of crops, 25 acres of pasture and the rest is woods (125 acres). The property has deer, turkey and bear on it. The owner has never leased the property for hunting and he would allow the leasers to post. There is a steep ridge that runs from the middle of the property on the west side all the way to the south end of the property back to north-east border (check out TOPO). The lease has a nice gravel road right down the center that will even be maintained in the winter (telephone tower access). I saw both deer and turkey on my inspection of this property. The cow pasture is fenced and will have cows usually to the 2nd week of November. This pasture area is a hot-spot loaded with a lot of different fruit trees and thick bedding areas just off the woods and crop fields. If you go through a gate (no locks) make sure you close it. The deer are used to the cows and should not interfere with hunting. This hunting lease is less than 50 miles from Albany, New York and 8 minutes from I-90. The Wildlife Management Unit (WMU) is 6R and the there is a high probability of both residents and non-residents to draw a DMP permit. Camping and ATV use are allowed.
