The move pays off.

First year to lease a property and have never been happier. What a great experience. I should have done this years ago. I was sitting in a stand near an old house (aka the house stand) one afternoon when I noticed a couple of decent bucks emerge from a CRP field 150 yard below me in a draw at sunset. That next day (the last day of archery season), during mid day, I moved the stand down to that draw and sat that stand the last evening of the archery season. Not much activity until just after dark when several large bucks walked out of the CRP. The next morning was the opener of gun season. It was a fairly slow morning with only a few does, until around 10 am this guy came walking out of the CRP field just like all the others I had seen in previous days. It's all about making the right decissions. The first decission was to lease a great farm thru Basecamp and the second was to move my stand where I had seen the most recent buck activity. My biggest deer to date, but I expect more to come on this awesome lease.
