This hunting lease is leased and not available. Here is a really nice farm that has all the ingredients needed for good bucks. Water, Food and lots of COVER, this farm HAS IT, and has some of the first cover the deer will encounter when leaving the surrounding row crops. The farm is mostly made up of CREP (planted as switch grass, clover, and seasonal grasses), acres of winter wheat, which will be replanted to beans for the fall of 2022, clover fields mixed with Alfalfa, red and white clover. With all that feed and cover you just know the bucks will be cruising it, especially when the rut is on. Also seeing how this farm has some of the most cover in the area that it should be quite the security haven for the deer when the pressure turns on from the neighboring farms. Also, it has some really good wooded edges along the northern boundary and a year round stream that runs right through the middle of the farm that the deer are using as a travel corridor. Do not overlook this corridor! There is also a spring fed pond at the beginning of the property. The landowner has also planted several thousand trees over the last 10 years and continues to do so. There are some Persimmon trees but they are another year or two from giving fruit. Upon inspection I found a ton of beds in the CREP and bounced 9 deer that morning. There are also 4 stands established in key areas that the landowner says you are welcome to use. The western corner is one of those key areas and I found alot of sign there. The landowner states a majority of their best bucks have been taken or seen in that area over the years. Another hot area is the cedar finger coming off the stream to the NNE in the middle of the CREP, plenty of sign there also and alot of deer harvested there too. There was also alot of activity along the creek with a few good pinch points and travel corridor. The adjacent farms to the west, south, and east are all in row crops. With the amount of food, cover and water you should have no problem filling your tags and harvesting a decent buck and doe. There is also access to the property from the east.

The landowner would like you to Harvest 1 buck and 1 ADULT doe per hunter. Please do not shoot any yearlings or button bucks. He would also like No Smoking and no littering on the property. With all that switch grass it could be a hazard. He would appreciate No Sunday hunting during the gun season, but Archery Sunday hunting is OK. He would like No ATVs, but is more than willing to help you set stands and retrieve harvests with his tractor or side by side. The landowner is a really nice guy who lives on the property and is willing to work with you. There is a 2 acre area outlined in blue that is used by a remote control airplane club of only a few members and are only there a few times a year. They will not be in your way and only have access to that 2 acres and they follow the blue line to that field. There is no camping on the property but lodging is only minutes away in Dover.
