This hunting lease is close to Avoca, New York. This hunting lease consists of 74 acres of woods / pasture and 125 acres of crop fields. I entered this property from the east and followed the small creek which turned into a huge ravine. The ravine is very steep in most spots. About 3/4 of the way west , the ravine split into 2 ravines. The ravine on the north side had a beautiful bottom that got wide. The deer sign was tremendous. Huge rubs and scrapes could be found every 20-30 steps. I found 3 large scrapes that were within 10 yards of each other. The pasture on the south-east side was loaded with trails and rubs. The south wooded side of the ravine just inside the corner of the crop field was loaded with deer trails and rubs. This property has huge potential to shoot a giant buck. If you are looking for a trophy hunting lease, check this property out quick! I did find some gradual established trails into both ravines. I jumped deer close to the south-west border. The property needs to be posted. The landowner notified the neighbors that the property will be leased! ATV use and camping are allowed for hunting purposes only. Check with landowner for parking spot. Camping is only during deer season. The landowner has experienced crop damage in his fields and has received management permits in the past. He will apply again and if gets any permits he will pass them on to the hunters.
