This hunting lease is leased and not available. 100-acre archery only hunting lease in Polk County. The Golf Course went out of business in 2022 and the landowner is planning on trying to sell it. According to him, he does not believe anyone will purchase it to restart the golf course. He does believe that in time someone may be interested in the club house and acres around it that are not timbered. Property is entirely within city limits, but archery hunting for all game is allowed including the harvesting of antlered deer. Hwy 8 runs along the northern side and a small portion of the timber on this side is property of the state. This area is not included in the attached aerial. Even if club house is sold or acres around that, landowner will still consider leasing the timbered ground which is really the acres I used to price this lease.

I saw deer during my entire walk of the property and took pictures of those that stood still enough to do so. Rubs were found in numerous places on the property. Very intriguing property for those archery purists who have always considered hunting within city limits - here's your chance.

I would expect that the fairways and greens will continue to be mowed periodically throughout the summer and early fall primarily to keep them from becoming overgrown.

All legal games are yours to hunt but only archery equipment can be used. No firearms allowed of any kind. No camping but you have a Holiday Inn Express right across the road from the golf course. No food plots allowed but you can use ATV's but need to stay on the cart paths and not drive across the fairways or greens. You will be provided with ID cards and similar card to place in vehicle when at property. Make sure to have these with you when at property
