This hunting lease is leased and not available.
If you are looking for Buffalo County type terrain and mature whitetails but not the prices associated with that, Dunn County is a place you should start to consider for your next hunting lease. Located in the southern part of Dunn County is this 315 acre wildlife paradise. Landowner has owned the property for over 20 years and for all practical purposes, this property has had minimal hunting prior to becoming a Base Camp lease. The Red Cedar River makes up the eastern boundary and there is a locked gate prior to entrance into the property. Also included is a very clean and fully furnished trailer home with electricity and water for you to use during your deer hunting trips. The landowner wants to close this up for the winter after the gun deer season, so if you use if after that it will not have any water. The property consists of approximately 100 acres of tillable and 210 acres of wooded hills and valleys with three different sources of water. Tillable ground is a mixture of corn, beans and hay. Everything a whitetail needs to live is on this property. There is also a very good trail system that will make for easy access to set up stands, check trail cameras and quiet entry during the hunting season. Take a look at the aerials - study them and then fall in love with the potential this property has.
The buck pictured in the listing was not shot on this property, but on the landowner's other property #6149 a few miles away. It is to show the potential this part of the state has to offer.
This is a deer and turkey hunting lease only. Respectful use of ATV okay for hunting related activities. Food plots are okay with approval from landowner as to where and what. Use of trailer is allowed during the deer hunting seasons, but permission is needed from landowner for use anytime other than that. Water will be turned off after the gun deer season for the winter. Bring your own sleeping bags, pillows and towels, but feel free to use anything else in the trailer. No smoking allowed in the trailer and it must be cleaned prior to leaving with all garbage removed and taken with you. Landowner does have several sheds and pole type buildings on the property which will be off limits to whoever leases the property. Landowner does want a call prior to coming to the property. You will be given a key to the gate and trailer, but you are also required to make sure everything is locked up again when you leave. There is a home on the eastern side of property along the river that is rented out. This should not affect your hunting but landowner wanted to make sure hunters knew of this.
I truly enjoyed my visit with the landowners and they are great people. They love and appreciate the property they have and want to make sure that whoever leases it for hunting will do the same. Everything about this property feels like it could be a once in a life time opportunity for whoever is lucky enough to get this lease.
