Hunting Lease Video Contest Rules

To enter, you must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident (green card). Base Camp Leasing (BCL) employees, owners, or agents, and their immediate family members are not eligible to win prizes. Immediate family includes only spouses, parents and children. All videos must have been taken on, or in conjunction with, a BCL lease property (for example, a video of you and your harvested deer at home would qualify, so long as the deer was harvested on a BCL property lease).

A video file must be submitted. In order to qualify for the contest, the video must be 2 to 8 minutes in length, be uploaded to YouTube, and then submitted on the BaseCampLeasing.com website. Please see YouTube for the specific guidelines for submitting videos to their site.

You must be the sole owner of the copyright of any image submitted. Your submission of the video and entry form is your guarantee that you are the author and copyright holder of the video.

An individual may submit any number of videos per contest.

Videos must be appropriate for posting on a public hunting website. Obscene, provocative or otherwise questionable content will not be considered. BCL retains sole discretion as to what constitutes inappropriate content.

Video image files will not be returned, and are subject to deletion from our servers. Please retain a copy of any video files submitted for your own personal use.

Videographers retain the copyright to their videos. By entering the contest, videographers agree to have their submitted video displayed on the BaseCampLeasing.com website without any fee or other form of compensation, and agree that Base Camp Leasing may display both winning and non-winning videos at its discretion, and may make and retain copies of the video for archival purposes. Posted videos will be subject to the BaseCampLeasing website video use policy (see below). Videos will be credited to the videographer named in the entry form. Entries (including non-winning entries) may be selected for display or use in other Base Camp Leasing or affiliate web pages, such as Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube. In the event that ownership of any video submitted to Base Camp Leasing is contested in any manner, Base Camp Leasing retains the discretion to disqualify that video and discontinue use of the video.

Videos must first be uploaded to YouTube, and then submitted using the online entry form. Each entry must be accompanied by a completed contest entry form. We do not accept tapes, DVDs, or anything else that needs to be posted in the mail - only digital video uploads to YouTube. Entries/uploads must be received by Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. EST as recorded by our server.

Entries will be judged solely at the discretion of Base Camp Leasing and all contest decisions are final. Entries that fail to comply with the Official Contest Rules will be disqualified. The judges will review all submitted videos and will rate the videos according to production values, content, originality, creative thinking, and usage of Base Camp Leasing branding. Judging will be fair and all approved videos will be considered.

One winner will be selected. The winning entry will receive $1,500 in Base Camp Gear merchandise. The winner will be notified no more than 3 weeks after the contest deadline by the contact information in their BCL user account. Along with a winner notification, winners will be sent an affidavit of eligibility and release. Winner must execute, without making changes, and return this release for receipt by Base Camp Leasing within 7 days of the date on the winner notification letter. Failure to execute and return this affidavit within 7 days will result in disqualification.

Base Camp Leasing is not responsible for computer system, hardware, software, or program malfunctions or other errors, failures, or delayed computer transactions or network connections that are human or technical in nature. Furthermore, BCL is not responsible for: (i) lost, misdirected, misplaced, illegible, unintelligible, incomplete, or late entries or (ii) any act, failure to act, or delay regarding the transmitting or processing of entries. BCL reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend all or any portion of this contest without notice if factors beyond BCL's control, including technical difficulties, disrupt or corrupt the fair or secure administration or operation of the contest. Void where prohibited. BCL is entitled to interpret these rules as needed and its decisions are final. BCL reserves the right to disqualify any entrant that BCL has reason to believe is not the original work of entrant, or does not otherwise meet the contest rules. If a winner is disqualified or determined to be ineligible, an alternate winner will be selected using the same judging process/criteria described above. Alternate winners are subject to all requirements set forth in these Official Rules.

By participating in the contest, you agree to release and hold harmless BCL and its employees, officers, affiliates, agents, and advertising and promotional agencies from any and all damages, injuries, claims, causes of actions, or losses of any kind resulting from your participation in this contest, including infringement of intellectual property rights. BCL and its employees, officers, affiliates, agents, and advertising and promotional agencies assume no responsibility or liability for any damages, injuries, claims, causes of actions, or losses of any kind arising in whole or in part from this contest.

Videos displayed on the BaseCampLeasing.com website are copyrighted by the videographer.

Permission to use the videos by any third parties is not granted. Copyright to all videos are retained by the videographer and Base Camp Leasing in accordance with the contest rules.

Videos may not be sold or used in any way for profit or commercial purposes by any third party, including use in commercial or professional websites or printed materials. Videos may not be used to suggest endorsement by Base Camp Leasing or the videographer for any product or service.

BCL will not contact the videographer on the behalf of a third party. BCL reserves the right to ignore and deny all such requests at its discretion.
