Asked Questions
Q. How do I get
directions to inspect the property before leasing? A. Click on "reguest driving
directions" under the property you wish to visit and an email will
be sent to you along with a permission slip to access the property.
If someone needs to be notified prior to inspection, it will be noted.
Otherwise, this is all you need to make a personal inspection. Print
a copy of the aerial photo and take it along with you to help distinguish
the boundaries.
Q. Is the price
per hunter or per group? A. All properties are listed
at a value for the entire property, no matter how many hunters you
have, up to the maximum allowed.
Q. When does the
lease start? A. Your hunting lease begins
whenever you decide you want it, and lasts for 1 year from that date.
It is yours upon receipt of a signed lease with payment in full.
Q. Do I have first
right to renew? A. Yes, as long as the landowner
approves and you get the payment to us 2 weeks prior to lease expiration
as stated in the lease.
Q. Who do I make
the payment to? A. Payments are made out directly
to the landowner and sent to Base Camp Leasing,
10412 Allisonville Road, Ste. 107, Fishers, IN 46038.
Payment is due in full within 7 days of committing
to a lease.
Q. Are food plots
allowed to implement a wildlife management plan? A. Wildlife management policies
will be determined on a case by case basis since we are dealing with
individual landowners. Some already have food plots. Tillable acreage
does not mean it is yours to plant as you like. You are only leasing
the hunting rights. As a general rule, tillable land leases for agriculture
use at around $150 per acre. If your wildlife management plan calls
for a food plot, this should be worked out with the landowner in advance.
Q. Are there any
other fees? A. Each group must be a member
of the Base Camp Hunt Club® in order to lease Base Camp Leasing property.
The annual fee is $45 and payable at lease initiation and upon renewal.
Along with other benefits, Base Camp Hunt Club® members will be covered
with a 1 million dollar liability insurance policy.
