This hunting lease is leased and not available.
This is a great farm being offered for lease in Clark County, IL. The landowner has owned this property for many years and can attest that several great bucks have been seen and harvested from this farm over the years. I also have another lease within minutes of this property where the current lessee has been very successful, which speaks well to the quality of this area. The lease is comprised of timber, row crops, pasture ground, and a stream which holds water year-round. There are also several ponds on the property that provide additional year-round water sources, which we all know can be very beneficial during the pre-rut and rut. I really wish I could have walked this farm prior to it greening up, as I came across numerous deer trails and it was evident the deer are using it heavily. Unfortunately, they are very difficult to show in photos this time of year and not even worth uploading, as the taller grass and underbrush cover most of them. I was able to get a couple photos loaded that were not yet covered with overgrown vegetation.
The other highlight of this farm is access from three sides, north, west, and south, which will be very helpful in beating the wind. The pasture ground, where the cattle will be fenced in, is planted in clover and alfalfa and, as you will see in the photos, it is coming in very nicely. There is no doubt the deer will be utilizing this as well. There is also an 8–10 foot buffer from the tree line to the ag field, allowing you to maneuver freely throughout the property. The landowner has owned this property for many years and is very knowledgeable about how the deer use it, and he does not mind sharing that knowledge with the lessee. I do want to emphasize on the landowner's behalf that he was very adamant about not wanting the buffer strips, row crop fields, or internal roads torn up. Cattle have been on this farm for many years and will not affect your deer hunting at all. They are usually present from June through the end of October.
