This hunting lease is leased and not available. This lease lies just minutes from Galena, IL. Once I was on the property and saw first-hand the deer sign and seeing seven turkeys, this farm offers a lot of potential. With the rolling hills and the deer coming here to feed on the row crops and alfalfa, the deer can easily walk throughout this farm without being seen. There is absolutely no road frontage, his driveway ends at his home, and there is one landowner that owns six hundred acres bordering this farm to the south. The steepness of the adjoining property to the north will not allow for anyone to hunt the border, it's just too steep. But the deer are coming from that ravine to the CRP and to also feed on the row crops and alfalfa. The landowner stated he has seen 20 to 30 deer at a time in his fields. He as approximately 15 head of feeder cattle that he rotates. He said he is willing to work with the lessee(s) and place the cattle, so they do not impede with any hunting activities. He's just a super nice guy and would like to have a long-term and great relationship with lessee(s).
