Here's a genuinely nice farm available for lease in Fayette County, IL. The property includes a mix of timber, water, and pasture ground, and will have cattle on it during part of the year. Some of the open areas will be baled or cut. This farm is very secluded with absolutely no road frontage. The west side is bordered by an old set of railroad tracks, so there is no worry about road traffic or disturbances. If you know Fayette County, then you know this farm is located in one of the better areas for deer hunting. When accessing the property, please note that if the farm road is wet, do not drive down it in a pickup. The landowner prefers that you use an ATV to avoid damaging the road. The green line on the aerial photo shows the road leading to the property. Upon walking the farm, based on what I saw and the location, I have a strong feeling this could be a really solid hunting spot. The landowner mentioned he plans to have the cattle removed around late September or early October. The presence of cattle in the past has not impacted the hunting at all.
