This hunting lease is leased and not available. What really impressed me when I first walked on this farm were all the deer, bucks and does, I saw in the field in the middle of the afternoon. This place could be a real sleeper. To the north you have a year round stream and to the south and west you have row crops and clover. The field is divided in half by a north/south trench with the first half in freshly planted hay mix and the upper field is mostly browse but the landowner is willing to allow food plots along the base of the wooded hillside. There were alot of good deer runs on the field edges along with a good number of rubs, scrapes and beds.The wooded hillside was select cut several years ago but there is still a good mix of Oak, Maple, and Hickory. There is a good trail that goes to the top of the hill making setting stands easier. There is also a couple of good open benches that would make great ambush plots. The woods had quite a few deer runs going north/south and also some really good deer runs coming from the clover/row crop field tom the west. With the dominant wind usually westerly it should make access easier also. The landowner says there are a ton of deer here and would like some does harvested too. He did say the neighbor harvested a nice 12pt last year on the edge of the property. Responsible ATV use for hunting purposes is allowed but no riding through the fields, only ride along the field edges, access across the trench is on the south edge of the field, He would also like all deer harvested to be cleaned in either the wooded hillside or at the creek along the north boundary, do not clean any deer in the fields. He would like you to park your vehicles past the second shed on the left at the end of the driveway, no more than 2 vehicles. This is the first time property is being leased and will need to be posted. Lodging is only 15 minutes away in Warren.
