This is an exceptional property in Cass County, IL that is now available for lease. The farm showed a ton of deer activity, which is easy to see in the snow-covered photos. During my visit, there wasn't a spot on the farm without deer sign, and I jumped approximately 9 to 10 deer. The farm lays out really well, with a couple of nice valleys that set up great for stand locations and allow you to cover a lot of ground during firearm season. One of the biggest advantages is the two access points, giving you solid options to hunt different wind directions. The timber includes thick areas of bush honeysuckle that create secure travel routes for deer. The farm also had a select walnut harvest in February of 2025, which will improve both the habitat and hunting. The two harvest photos are from the farm just northwest of this lease, so there's no question mature bucks are in this area. With a strong mix of timber, row crops, seasonal water, and bedding, this farm has everything it needs to attract and hold deer year after year.
