180 acre deer and turkey hunting lease in Pierce County. In my opinion, Pierce County would fall in my top 10 of Wisconsin Counties for quantity and quality of deer. During inspection, there were big rubs and heavy trails almost throughout the entire areas I walked. Some of the smaller chunks on timber on southwestern, southeastern and 40 on eastern side that is primarily in ag, all were pleasant surprises in regards to the amount of sign.
Landowner had been leasing property on his own and hunters who had it the past 4 years still have stands on the property. Landowner is allowing them a few months to get them removed but they have no hunting rights. On the positive side, you will have 4 years of intel regarding stand locations. I was told they were who put in the water hole berm shown in the pictures.
The Rush River makes up a portion of the western boundary and there is some acres on the opposite side of the river contained within this lease.
Lastly, landowner is having a good size trailer built and is going to finish the inside of it. Once placed on the property he is open to renting it out on a nightly basis the whoever leases the property. No one lives on property but landowner does frequent the property to mow and maintain timbered grounds.
