This hunting lease is leased and not available. 160 acres in Portage County. This mostly wooded property is available for Deer and Turkey hunting only. The property has a mix of habitats including hardwood ridges, grassy areas, thick cover, swampy areas, and crop ground. Some select timber harvest was performed a couple of years ago and the regrowth has become a haven for the local deer herd. Plenty of deer sign was observed during my inspection. This included heavy trails, rubs, scrapes, beds, and tracks. Lots of edge areas can provide great stand locations. A logging trail through the property can provide good access to set stands and retrieve game. Respectful use of ATVs is allowed for hunting related activities only when weather and ground conditions permit. Respect all boundaries. Food plots are possible with permission from the landowner as to where. Camping may also be possible by checking with the landowner. There is a local snowmobile trail that crosses the property. No use of nails, screws, or screw in tree steps is allowed. No tree cutting.
