Base Camp Leasing has a 86-acre hunting lease available for immediate lease in Broome County, NY. This hunting lease is in WMU (7M) and about 18 miles north of Binghamton. Syracuse is 50 miles north. The west border is Whitney Point Reservoir. This hunting lease runs north and south. It will hunt like 115 acres - very steep close to the reservoir. There is a natural funnel with lots of deer sign in the woods and fields. The south end has more woods and overgrown brush. Nice deer habitat. I almost ran over a huge doe that jumped up in front of my ATV (see deer bed pic). The north end has a grade that goes down to the river-you should be able to drive an ATV or UTV. ATV use is allowed for hunting purposes. There is a tree that has fallen across the trail. I spoke to the landowner, and he said he would remove it. The fields are overgrown hay fields / pastures. The best hunting will be the funnel along the river and the 2 overgrown ends. ATV use is allowed for hunting purposes. Landowner states lots of deer and bear in the area. Definitely great potential for some doe for the freezer and a buck on the wall!
