373-acre archery deer and turkey hunting lease in Crawford County. One of the best properties I have had the privilege to bring to our Base Camp members in the 10+ years I have been the leasing agent in WI. Incredible access through the center of property through the ag, from the east, north and west. Several ponds, very nice creek and large white oaks. Several locations of open pockets on edge of timbered ridges that would make for dream kill food plots.
I've tried during my time with Base Camp to not over sell or state what I believe the potential of a property might be, but then a property like this comes along and it has all the ingredients to be as good of a property as I have ever listed. Great access, water, a great mix of ag and timber, proof of great bucks taken in the past and a wonderful landowner.
Property has been in landowners family for decades. As the years have gone by, less and less of the family have been hunting it. Last year the landowner bought a rifle deer tag and never made it out into the woods. Landowner is not yet ready to give up the rifle deer hunting rights and thus why lease is for archery deer and spring turkey hunting only. He is open to possibly allowing some muzzle loader deer hunting by whoever leases the property, but that is not currently included in the lease.
As mentioned, this is an archery deer and spring turkey hunting lease. Early archery deer season hunting rights end the Sunday before the opener of rifle deer hunting. This gives the property the week prior to the opener to "rest", but the rut here in WI is typically almost done by that time each year. The landowner is open to camping for hunting related activities but that does need his permission first. Food plots are also okay with permission from landowner as to location on property. Use of ATV for hunting related activities also okay. He does live on the property and thus would like to be contacted prior to your visits.
