This hunting lease is leased and not available. Here we have a large suburban Lawrence county property, less than 6 miles from the Ohio border! There were 2 bucks laying in the yard when I pulled in to inspect this property, and I seen a few more deer, grouse, squirrels and heard some turkeys during the inspection. This property was timbered years ago, and it has grown up into a super thick sanctuary for wildlife. I found many heavy trails, fresh tracks, deer beds and old rubs. Old logging roads will help you with access around the property. The property is a mixture of super thick undergrowth and small clearings, which should provide excellent hunting. The property has a mixture of oaks, beech, walnut and maple trees. I found a handful of apple trees and there is a small creek ravine up the center of the property. There is a good size opening in the center, that was polluted with deer tracks and sign. Property has not been hunted in years, some older stands are still present and can be used at your own risk. The combination of food, water and heavy bedding, should provide some excellent hunting. The house on the east border of the property may be available for daily rental to the hunters during hunting season.
