Looking for big woods hunting in the mountains of Virginia? This property is just that! Located on the east side of Carroll County, this property is located past the end of state-maintained road. Only one other property past this tract. This property borders Laurel Fork creek to the north and has another stream on the southwest side. Around 150 acres of this property was clear cut around 2011 and has grown back natural. This area is thick and sure to hold deer, especially when pressure gets high in gun season. The surrounding woods, 210 acres are all mature and have not been cut in 60+ years. Tons of red and white oaks on this property. This property is a place I am sure you have a chance at a buck during the rut at any time!

During my walk through this property I found plenty of trails that were worn to ditches. Plenty of fresh tracks. I jumped a group of does on one of the ridges. I found several good rubs from previous seasons. The roads were passable with ATV for the most part but could use some work to make passage easier. This property is massive! I saw nowhere near all of it. Plenty of good potential to hold some of those mature mountain deer Carroll County is known for. Also having a chance to harvest a bear isn't out of the question either.

Sunday hunting is allowed. Camping is acceptable for hunting purposes. (Note: I only found one small location that would be good for camper setup.) ATVs are acceptable for hunting purposes only.
