I really think that this could be a special place. This farm is located in a great area and county of Kentucky that is loaded with wildlife. The100's of acres of row crops, timber and overgrown pasture on this property will hold and grow the deer you are looking for. You get to hunt big farm country and also big timber at the same time. Farm is the transition between 1000's of acres of row crops and 1000's of acres of big timber. The day of inspection I jumped multiple groups of deer, turkey, and a buck off the edge of the lower pasture that would be a buck of a lifetime for most hunters.
This farm is big! It is over a mile and a half from the road to the back. The lower pasture is 3/4 of a mile long and the upper hidden crop field is a half mile long. There is over 200' of elevation change from the lower pasture to the upper field. The timber has open and thick areas. This gives you spots where you can cover a lot of ground but also plenty of cover to hold deer all season long. The farm has both soybeans and corn, giving you early and late season food sources. A few feeding locations on this farm will pull them out of that big timber.
Landowner lives on site and is currently working on building a house just above the old homestead. He said you could store some corn in the old grain bins if it makes it easier when baiting. He does want to continue a tradition with a few of his friends of hunting doves in the lower crop fields a few times a year. He will work around your hunting schedule and will not interfere. Again, this farm lays really big and will hold a lot of deer.
