This hunting lease is leased and not available.
This farm offers a solid mix of timber, brush, and row crops, providing the cover and food needed to attract deer throughout the season. This farm is also bordered by a large block of timber where those deer should come to this farm to feed. I jumped several deer while walking the property. They were feeding along the western edge of the timber. I was able to take a picture of one of those deer that fed her way out to the edge of the ag field. The timber should provide great cover for these deer to travel through and to and from other ag fields. The way this farm lays out, there are several areas that will make for a killer stand placement. The south side of the property provides the best cover on this farm. It's made of a thick brushy cover. Across the road from the property is approximately 112 acres of forest preserve. Some forest preserve ground is not huntable, but I'm not sure if this is huntable or not. If it's not hunted, then it will serve as a refuge. Access is from the east side of the property giving you the ability to play the wind, as straight east winds are uncommon during deer season. One of the biggest advantages of this farm is its location. It is extremely convenient to Chicago Heights, Homewood, and downtown Chicago, making it an easy drive for weekday or weekend hunts without a long commute. No guarantees are ever made, as hunting is unpredictable, but this farm has the habitat and layout needed to consistently hold deer and provide solid hunting opportunities year after year.
