This hunting lease is leased and not available. This large Centre county farm reminds me of hunting in the Midwest. Large row crop fields with a wooded creek draw and wooded fence rows with super thick brush in between. This property is much thicker and grown up than it looks in the aerial pics. There is a very heavy deer and turkey population on the property and in the area and the property owner said that the deer put a hurting on the row crops. There is also a lot of small game, including ring neck, on the property and also Canadian geese visit the fields often. Tons of apple trees, mature oaks and walnut trees spread throughout the property. I found a lot of heavy trails and fresh deer and turkey sign all over the property. There were deer running around me the entire inspection and I saw a large flock of turkeys. The nittany mountain range is across the road from the property, and also over 3000 acres of wooded DOC property, which will act as a sanctuary for the wildlife. The large row crop fields along with the apple trees on this property attract the wildlife from across the road. There will be a small herd of cattle in 60 acres of the pasture during the summer but will be removed in November through April. There are a couple golf courses, wineries and a ski resort within 10 minutes of the property and the beautiful city of State College is only about 15 minutes away. The property owner is a super nice guy and will be great to work with.
