A 147-acre sweet honey hole with hillside crops, CRP, and plenty of woods. This Loess Hills Iowa property is filled with deer and turkey. Amazing views and plenty of area to watch over for cruising bucks. I went into the property along the east boundary that leads uphill over the terraces, the views just got better and better! Hidden over much of the topography were secluded pocket with CRP or patches of trees. The re is a cut path through the woods along the east boundary that would make a great shooting lane. Also along the cut path is a waterhole that is hidden by the woods, deer can feel secure getting a drink without being exposed, I would want a bow stand very close to this water source! I saw deer and turkey as I cleared the terraces, you could just about show up to this lease on opening day and fill your tag without scouting. There are turkey and deer tracks along all the edges. Landowner hasn't hunted the property for a few years but told me he never had a problem having opportunities at nice bucks and has seen a few giants over the years.
