This farm is a mix of timber, row crops, and established bedding cover. The southeast field is no longer in row crops and is now occupied by solar panels. The northwest 40 acres is exactly as shown in the aerial photo, and this is where the best hunting is located. While walking the property, I jumped approximately 10–12 deer, including one very solid buck that I would estimate in the mid-140s. The northwest portion of the farm is very secluded, and that is also where the buck was jumped. There are several well-worn deer trails leading from the timber into the row crops, clearly showing consistent movement through the property.
This farm offers an excellent opportunity to harvest a mature Illinois whitetail. The trail camera photos and harvest photo are current, with some images pulled from trail cam videos. Several of these bucks are still using the farm and should only continue to improve as the season progresses.
