This hunting lease is leased and not available.
At first glance of the aerial photo, this farm does not look like much. However, don't judge this book by its cover. The pictures of the rubs I found on this farm and the number of deer I jumped, speaks a ton louder than any aerial photo. Every single patch of timber the landowner and I came to, we were jumping deer. We were in the landowner's truck and because of the terrain, I did not have the time to snap off a bunch pictures, most were gone before I exited the truck. However, I did get a couple of pictures before they had time to get over the knoll and into the timber. Those deer are circled in red in the photos. Based on what I saw during my inspection, the aerial photo actually does this farm a disservice. The cedars in the northeast corner are thick and it's also where I found a couple of these big rubs, but here again, the aerial does not portray that. The deer trails through the timber patches looked like cow paths.
Because of the valley like topography, the deer can be in the middle of the row crops and not be seen, as the deer in the pictures were. There are four ponds on this farm and they're providing water year-round for all wildlife, especially the resident and neighboring deer. There is a natural runway for these deer and it's between this farm and the English River. This farm lays out very nice for the shot-gun hunter and will be little tougher for the archery hunter. But, there are a few places you can use a lock-on stand, but other places would be a ladder stand, ground blind, or an elevated box blind. Either way, the opportunity to harvest deer is here, no matter what your weapon of choice is.
