Derek Kinney is the Base Camp Leasing Agent for South Carolina and North Georgia. He was born and raised in the great state of South Carolina. Derek is married to his wife of 31 years, Cindy, and has two children, Ashtyn and Ben.
Derek has hunted and fished for as long as he can remember. From his early years of chasing squirrels with his single shot 20 gauge to the present, he is passionate about the outdoors and loves making memories and building friendships.
Retiring after 34 years in the Emergency Services field, Derek can now dedicate more of his time to land management, wildlife habitat enhancements, and land improvements both personally and for landowner clients. South Carolina and Georgia offer a vast diversity of recreational opportunities, from the Mountain, Foothills, and Midlands to the rich southern history of the Lowcountry. Derek has a strong understanding of land leasing, which will create a perfect match for hunters and landowners. Derek will ensure a professional evaluation of the land for hunting lease opportunities as if it was his own. Honesty, respect, and clear communication will ensure success for both hunter and landowner.
