Neil Taylor is the Southeast Iowa agent for Base Camp Leasing. Raised on a small farm in rural Southeast Iowa, Neil developed a passion for the outdoors at an early age, learning to hunt alongside his father. He began with small game and upland birds before progressing into archery hunting for whitetail deer—a pursuit that quickly became a lifelong passion.
Today, Neil and his wife are raising their family in the Muscatine area. Much of his free time is spent working around the home, enjoying family vacations, hunting and fishing with his kids across Iowa and at their family cabin in northern Minnesota.
Neil’s dedication to bowhunting mature whitetails has given him a deep understanding of deer behavior, habitat, and land features. He has developed a strong ability to evaluate properties using both topographic maps and in-person scouting to identify prime stand locations and bedding areas. Friends and family often rely on his insight to help maximize the potential of their land.
Through a lifetime of hunting, Neil has developed a deep respect for landowners, their property, and the wildlife it supports. He particularly enjoys walking new ground, scouting properties, and building relationships with landowners, farmers, and hunters across Southeast Iowa.
