Just what the doctor ordered, here's a really nice Creek County, Oklahoma property that was covered up with deer the day I inspected the property. I drove and walked the area and there were deer busting through the timber everywhere I looked. I saw several fawns while driving the area, they were alone, but mama was somewhere around. Seen a lot of turkey track and hog tracks also. This property has some open areas but most of this property all looks the same. All heavy timber. There are a few little ponds on the property scattered around too. This will make some hunters a really great lease and not too far out of town either.
Creek County has produced some real quality deer in the past and there are a lot of deer harvested in Creek County each year. Hunters say turkey numbers are down, but I've seen several tracks in the timber on this property that are saying different. Did see some hog tracks but not a lot. But there are hogs. This should be a nice lease for a group of hunters.
There were no cows at the time of inspection, but the landowner says there could be some put on there at some point in time.
Hog traps are ok but must be where cows cannot get in them if cattle are put on property and must be checked regularly.
